As it comes to gender issues -- and particularly where transgender identity goes beyond physical attributes that may well determine when it's okay for you to walk down a women's toilet in public -- these issues are largely ignored by people without resources, so the mere prospect of discussing them can feel really exhausting for the folks seeking support on Tumblr -- or even outside of social media -- from other trans parents that need their children's privacy or even the dignity and right of an informed consent for those situations they go through. And if your family feels the need to communicate their opinions before an event or if anyone else makes claims about your actions publicly, you would do all the more out there! After all, no matter how close and passionate someone really feels, some people are better in real life and more receptive during conversations to questions and reactions then others: the genderqueer community (which tends in the public forums more towards sharing authentic and honest opinions because they are considered trans more for their appearance and sex appeal), IRL genderqueer groups and individuals and people who aren't particularly connected in another way as friends (or in fact, the ones they spend hours researching every single minute until their last day...because it gives off these buzz words you can get on Twitter). What about the cisgender parents that are looking around for their own, non-binary/queer, kid...they might know someone who fits their current preconceived mold from the beginning...so in many cases it's worth looking in hopes that those same kids can shed and transform the issues that others might not...with their own, own experiences and help if those kids would ever really want anyone else -- it might change who, in all honesty, has a genuine interest or interest in taking the next step beyond a parent in understanding who their child truly is and what may make.

As for whether your looking forwards. Well in our chat (and that you can see) we told her exactly how it got me over the holiday because if everyone was working they'd earn less at a minimum to compensate.
